There has been many speculations regarding the star cast and the director Shankar has decided to drop the project as he is not finding the suitable stars from Tollywood and Kollywood.

Initially he signed Mahesh for playing ‘Aamir’ role in Telugu version & Vijay in Tamil version. Jeeva and Srikanth has been roped in to play the other characters in both the versions. Vijay walked out of the project due to date issues and then Mahesh also walked out of the project for the same reason. Meanwhile Director Shankar approached Surya to play the lead role in both the versions but there was no signs of any kind of official announcement regarding this.
