Sonali Kulkarni partnered with Nachiket Pantvaidya was solemnised on May 24 at Pune. Nachiket Pantvaidya is MD of Fox television to whom Sonali Kulkarni – Dil Chahta Hai fame married. Sonali Kulkarni marriage was a well kept secret till media got tip of it. Chandrakant Kulkarni the famous Marathi play director was with whom she married fist for a short period – but the couple got divorced.
Although the affair between Sonali Kulkarni and Nachiket Pantvaidya was something that was going on for some time in secret manner – the wedding took even the close friends by surprise.
Sonali Kulkarni is a Marathi & Hindi film and theatre actress and writer. She shot into fame by her role in film Dil Chahta Hai. She has acted in more than 30 Kannada, Marathi and Hindi films.
Sonali Kulkarni got a Special Jury Award (non-feature film) in the 49th National Film Awards(2001) for her guest appearance in a short film in Marathi Chaitra.
As a writer she was the guest editor for a Loksatta’s weekly supplement Viva from June 2005 to May 2007 and wrote a column called “So Kul” in it. The same has later been published as a book called “So Kul” – a compilation of those articles, updated to today’s context.
Nachiket Pantvaidya (39) is an IIM-Ahmedabad, 1993 product. Just after IIM he worked for nine years in Sony Entertainment and after three-year stint with Disney, he joined the BBC, for whom he led all over Southeast Asia. After BBC came Fox television where he is Managing Director now.
