A special IT tower will be set up near Kokapet in Hyderabad to cater to the needs of small and medium units. The IT principal secretary, Ms Ratnaprabha, said on friday after a review meeting of the department there is a proposal to set up a similar IT towers in Visakapatnam.

The government gave the green signal for the IT Investment Region in the city financial district in the city with financial help from the Center.

”The center has agreed to give additional fund to improve infrastructure and provide world-class transport to the IT-IR. The work will be launched as soon the plans get approval,” said the IT minister, Mr Venkata Reddy.

The government will announce its IT policy on july 1, Mr.Venkata Reddy told mediapersons at the secerarit.

The Chief Minister reviewed the IT sector’s progress with the minister and officials and approved setting up of the tower at Hyderabad
